Where To Buy Clothing for Pregnancy & Nursing

When I was pregnant, I had a lot of trouble finding cute maternity clothing. I felt like so many items were drab and boring in design if they were reasonably priced, or super expensive if they were remotely cute. I tried not to buy a ton of stuff, and particularly to keep my purchases easy on the wallet. IDK about you, but I rather spend my hard-earned cash on a delicious or a beautiful pair of shoes rather than a stretchy pair of pants. But, to each their own. After a lot of googling, trial and error, and about 10,000 return labels (thank you Brandon), here are the stores (and some items) I loved.

  1. ASOS: Very, very cute and trendy clothing for maternity and nursing. When I was pregnant, I loved baggy dresses like this one, which were easy to style with a pair of sneakers and fun earrings. Now that I am breastfeeding, I’ve been living in these double-layer tops. They also have some dresses which pull to the side for easy boob access.

  2. Loyal Hana: I never anticipated how much my wardrobe would have to change post-pregnancy. Any shirts with a high-neck have been stashed in the back of my closet, and silk is temporarily retired. Being able to quickly and semi-modestly whip out the nip (lol) is my main criteria. Fashion sorta comes second. I recently discovered this brand through Instagram, and ordered a bunch of shirts and dresses. The quality is really nice, and fairly priced, especially if you shop the sale section like I did. I love this dress, this tank, and this shirt, but you can’t really wrong with any of the items. Their zipper is also unique and easy to feed in.

  3. H&M: These nursing tanks are all I wore the first two weeks of coming home with baby. Their bras for sleeping are also decent, but size up- the fabric is a little iffy, but they are good to have as extras.

  4. Pea In A Pod: This website is a classic, and I loved their designer section of maternity clothes. So many truly beautiful options that didn’t make me a feel like a big ol’ preggo lady! Splendid, Rails, and Rachel Pally were all available, and you can almost always buy items on sale. The Splendid swimwear was a great deal and I’m still wearing it today! I also AG + J Brand maternity jeans on sale here.

  5. Nordstrom: A nice selection of necessities. I love these nursing bras, this simple tank dress, and these high-waisted leggings, which are perfect for pregnancy + the aftermath.
