Easy + Affordable Extras for Cinco de Mayo

Easy + Affordable Extras for Cinco de Mayo

No party is complete without a few special splurges that make it feel authentic.
Here are some additions I made to the table:

Paper Fan Decorations on the Wall

Beverages: Pacifico Beer, Modelo Beer, Mexican Coca-Cola <--- This stuff is made with real sugar!! You can buy it on Amazon. I was able to get some from my lovely photographer Katherine, who found them in a Clinton Hill bodega.

Candies: You can find authentic Mexican candies online, just choose your favorite! I really love these watermelon lollipops.

Vases: I found the vases featured in the flower article at Marshall's, which I highly recommend for their snack/home section. If you want to buy some traditional Mexican pottery, you can order online from La Fuente. Also, if you have a bit of time, find out what local art shops are in your neighborhood! You never know what you can find right under your nose :)
Tablecloth: I didn't use a tablecloth but think one would give a nice splash of color to the table. Check out some on Etsy, or use a simple linen one if that's your preference.
Pitcher & Glasses: The color of a michelada is so bright, you don't want to hide it behind colored glass. I bought this pitcher & glass set, which I highly recommend for it's clean aesthetic and affordable price point.

What are your favorite internet finds that make a party feel more special? Share your thoughts in the comments!
