All in Must Have
Ok guys, the other day I went to Mecca AKA Whole Foods and spotted a beautiful package of tortillas I’d never seen before. They were paper thin and carried ubiquitous char spots. They appeared to be blistered and shiny, even in the package. I was shocked by the $7 price tag, considering how cheap tortillas normally are, but I was intrigued by the description: "We produce tortillas the same way it is done throughout the towns, villages and cities of Northern Mexico."
For me, a travel blowout will only last a few days. And yes, I've heard of dry shampoo, and I know about the baby powder trick. Yet after 4 days, my head is SCREAMING for me to wash it. So what then?
Let's just be honest, feet are weird. Toes are strange. They're like fingers but shorter and with less mobility and sometimes they look like little sausages. I guess some people love feet, and actually fetishize them, which only proves my point further.
My grandparents gave me a beautiful Canon DSLR camera on the day that I graduated from college. I jumped with excitement, and then proceeded to use it on automatic for a few years. When I started blogging, I realized it would be good to actually learn how this thing works so that I could be more in control. I signed up for an online course, and then read/watched the lessons a few times. For me, I'm a visual learner, and studying something very technical at home was a challenge. I was able to pick up some basic terms (ISO, f-stop) and tricks (natural light is always best) but then I got sidetracked.
well hello there dahhhhhling! how goes it? We're closing out on week 3 with our pup and BOY IS IT A LOT OF WORK! I don't think I ever realized what waking up at 6AM every single day is like. The thing is though.... he is so darn cute. I forget all about how annoying the wake-up call is, or how gross it is to scoop poop off the street as soon as he licks my face or jumps on me when I come home! Is this what having a baby is like? They do say it's good practice... What are you up to this weekend? I'm observing Yom Kippur, and then on Sunday doing a final walkthrough at our wedding venue! WOOOHOO! 23 days!
Coming to you live from Boca Raton, Florida is the weekend cast. On tap for us: bloody Marys by the pool and a chance of thunderstorms. We’re here for the weekend relaxing with Brandon’s family, ringing in the new year right. Shana Tova to those of you celebrating! What do you have planned for the next few days? Share anything exciting in the comments below!
I'm writing to you from cloudy Cape Cod, where Brandon and I have spent a few days doing absolutely nothing. If you follow me on instagram, you'll know that was exactly what we were looking for: peace, quiet, and lobster rolls. The photo above was taken amidst the marshes at Fort Hill, which are a great pit stop if you're driving to Provincetown. Tomorrow morning, we're up at the crack of dawn and driving all the way to Toronto for..... you guessed it! Another wedding :D I've got a super fun, silky black dress that I'm really excited to wear. Do you have any recommendations for food stops along the way? Audio books we should listen to? We're thinking of starting the (33-hour!) first book of GOT, now that the season is over and we already miss it.
